Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is an interesting story to the Cambodia gambling halls that reside just across the border from next door Thailand, in which casino gambling is prohibited. Eight gambling dens are based in a generally small location in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling dens is in a perfect spot, a 3 to 4 hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest wagering locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a huge business with Thai workers and tourists from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The phenomenal capital gained from the gambling halls ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than 12.5 million dollars, and there are a few controls constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is assumed to be largely Thai; although, funding sources are cryptic. The borders are ceremoniously open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and despite the fact visas are apparently necessary to pass, there are means around this, as is correct of many border crossings.

The first Cambodia gambling halls opened in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving just a single gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked ship gambling den, contains 150 slot machine games and 60 gaming tables. The Naga gambling den never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, 4 tables of twenty-one, ten of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The 1st gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in the late nineties and the Golden Crown quickly opened. There are one hundred and fifty slot machines and five tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machines and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machines and seventy tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and ninety six gaming tables, including 87 baccarat (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and sixty six of the familiar tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and ninety seven table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-around vacation and hotel compound that highlights a number of comforts accompanying the casino, which provides 10,000 square feet of one hundred and thirty one armed bandits and 88 tables.
